Before becoming a backpacker hostel, Old Swan Barracks was a barracks that was built by the British army in 1896. It was built to train militia and occupy military presence in Western Australia. The building was built with limestone that gives it a romantic fortress appearance. Now this beautiful piece of history is available for anyone and everyone.
